The Basques are known for being open to new ideas. Whether in art, cuisine or the event market. In October, five German MICE agencies took a closer look at what the Basque Country has to offer. The trip was organised by the Spanish tourist office Tourspain and the Convention Bureau in San Sebastián. The charter provider PAS was there and sponsored a helicopter flight along the coast.
“No matter whether the passengers are travelling for business or pleasure: A helicopter flight is a unique experience for everyone,” tells PAS Managing Director Birte Kipke. The Basque Country, with its picturesque towns, deep forests and cliffs jutting out of the sea, is particularly well suited for a sightseeing flight. “Here, travelers discover a particularly diverse landscape in a small space,” she says. The company also offers such a sightseeing flight as part of an incentive, business, conference or event trip.
The trip also focused on the city of San Sebastián, the coastal town of Hondarribia on the border with France, as well as various museums (for example, the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao) and culinary experiences. Other experiences included visiting a star-rated restaurant and a cooking school, which can also be booked for an event trip.
