The Polar Air Shuttle is entering the coming winter season and will once again connect several German airports directly with Arvidsjaur in Swedish Lapland. For flights from Munich and Hanover, PAS is once again partnering with Condor. In addition, further flights with Smartwings are available from Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin and Zurich.
Following three successful winter seasons, the Polar Air Shuttle is now entering its fourth year. The first flights from Munich and Hanover will take place on 7 and 14 December. From 11 January, regular flights are scheduled for Mondays and Fridays. The last return flight of the season is planned for 15 March. The flights will be operated by Condor.
In addition, the Polar Air Shuttle, in collaboration with the ESC European Speed Club, is offering further connections to Arvidsjaur. The flights organised by the ESC are operated by Smartwings and depart from Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin and Zurich. Modern Airbus A220 aircraft are used for these flights. This means there will be various options for travelling directly to Arvidsjaur during the coming winter season.

Arvidsjaur is a popular destination for travellers from Germany and Switzerland, particularly during the winter months. In addition to the snow-covered landscape and excellent opportunities to view the Northern Lights, the region offers numerous winter activities – from dog sled and snowmobile tours to unique winter experiences around the Arctic Circle.
Connections for the automotive industry too
The Polar Air Shuttle also plays an important role for the automotive industry. Numerous manufacturers and suppliers use the services for their winter testing in northern Sweden. Among the companies using the Polar Air Shuttle for their winter testing are Volkswagen and Audi.
PAS organises bespoke charter solutions for this purpose and, in addition to transporting engineers, technicians and project teams, also handles the transport of test equipment and technical equipment.
Depending on the flight, there are also available seats, which can be utilised by tour operators, travel agencies and independent travellers.
“When it comes to winter testing in northern Sweden in particular, it is crucial to get teams and equipment to the site reliably. At the same time, we can offer available seats to tourists and tour operators. This model has proved its worth over recent years,” explains Birte Kipke.
